Step 1: Install the 'Downloader' App
From your Firestick Home Screen, navigate to Find > Search and type 'Downloader'. Select the orange Downloader app icon by AFTVnews and click 'Download' or 'Get'. Once installed, return to your Home Screen.
Step 2: Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Amazon requires you to give Downloader permission to install third-party APKs:
- Open Firestick Settings (gear icon on the right).
- Select 'My Fire TV' > 'Developer Options'. (If Developer Options is hidden, go to About > click 'Fire TV Stick' 7 times until you see the 'You are now a developer' message).
- Click 'Install Unknown Apps' and turn Downloader to ON.
